Most attention was spent on business document types, messaging formats, and application interface descriptions. Recently, there is an increased interest in considering the business processes in the definition of inter-organizational systems for Business-to-Business e-Commerce (B2B). 长期以来电子商务一直沿用了以纯数据处理为中心的运作方式。大部分精力被花费在商务文档规范、信息格式和程序的接口设计上。但现在，人们越来越关注在企业对企业的电子商务（B2B）中组织间系统过程的定义。本手册为了要成功地实现B2B系统，着重讲述了对以知业务流程编排的定义方法。
