In this paper some preparations and efforts before Newton’s universal gravitation was provided, such as Ptolemaous’ geocentric theory, Copernicus’ heliocentric system and the contributions of Tycho、Kepler and Galileo. Any more, this paper dealswith the formation of the Law of Universal Gravitation.
