中西方在非语言交流不同之处

Abstract

Human communication needs through the "language" and "non-verbal" two media. Successful intercultural communication demands the communicator is not only to understand the language information, also need to understand the language information, and nonverbal behavior system can be roughly divided into four categories: body language, proxemics, paralanguage, time relations. This paper discusses the concept and characteristics of culture, the concept, characteristics and importance of nonverbal communication and function. This paper also discussed in detail, such as body language and other nonverbal behavior, space and distance, time and other factors on the influence of nonverbal communication, and non-verbal behavior of these shows how members of a culture try to understand, organize, and translation of the importance of the activities of other cultures. This part of the discussion mainly through these non-verbal behaviors between Chinese and Western cultural differences. If people pay attention to hidden in intercultural nonverbal communicative behavior after the cultural connotation, can more freely and to communicate effectively, it will reduce misunderstanding.
