A study on the translation strategy of scenic spot introduction

Abstract: Through the translation examples of scenic spots, this paper makes an analysis and research of main translation methods and cause of effect on translation methods and introduces the concept of Skopos theory and its three core principles, which aims to make full use of translation methods to translate the scenic spots. Thus, tourist text translation could be improved. In this way, the level of translating the Chinese tourist attractions into English can be prompted. Foreigners may make a better understanding of Chinese cultural essence, which is good for foreigners to make a good impression on China.

摘要：本文通过举出旅游景点的例子翻译，对旅游景点的主要翻译方法及其影响翻译方法的原因进行分析和研究,介绍了Skopos theory的定义以及三大核心翻译原则，旨在更好地运用翻译方法翻译旅游景点，从而使旅游文本翻译研究达到一个新的理论高度，同时提高旅游文本翻译的质量，加强旅游景点英译水平的提高及增强外国游客对中国文化精髓的认识，有利于外国朋友给中国留个好印象。
