Abstract

English Curriculum Standards require students to master four language skills （listening, speaking, reading, writing ） and the ability to synthesize them.listening and speaking training is the most basic training, is a key point and a difficulty in English teaching. In primary school English teaching, listening and speaking are interdependent, listening is input, say output. If you don't listen, you can't talk. Language is a tool for interpersonal communication. English, as the universal language, needs to be heard and heard all the time. The teacher should attach importance to cultivate and improve students listening and speaking skills, raise the level of individual skills training ,and lay a firm foundation for the students' English communicative ability 。Therefore, The author analyzed the effectiveness of English teaching in primary schools and made his own opinions on how to cultivate students' good listening and speaking ability.
