Abstract

Winston Groom is the author of "Forrest Gump" . The work was adapted into a movie, it was released in 1994 and won the 1995 Oscar best film award. " Forrest Gump " was named one of the greatest hundreds of films in twentieth Century. The film " Forrest Gump " is mainly around the protagonist Gump, telling Gump's life. From his childhood, he only detected  75 of the IQ, to the experience of the United States after the war, Eventually become a shrimp hunting tycoon. The "American Dream" and the culture of the United States have been shown to people,  Gump’s  image is deeply engraved in people’s minds. Gump’s perseverance has brought us hope and optimism ,  we saw a miracle of ordinary life.
