Abstract

William Shakespeare is a famous writer and dramatist during Renaissance in England. He created 39 drama in his whole life and his works had undergone several change of writing style. During the ten years from 1590 to 1600, his works mainly is comedy, Shakespeare as a representative of humanist, his comedy praises love and friendship, and promotes individuality liberation, freedom of marriage and personal right to win happiness. during this period, the holistic keynote of Shakespeare works is optimistic. From 1601 to 1608, Shakespeare works mainly is tragedy, some roles in Shakespeare’s works who discard basic sincere faith and goodness of humanity. They betray friends and kill relatives for right and wealth. From 1609 to 1612, keynote of his works is romance and fantasy. His drama was full of mythicism, in the drama the winter’s tale, the queen who was dead but reborn and reunite with his husband and daughter.

 With the changes of social environment have tremendous influence on changes of writing style in Shakespeare’s works. The social turmoil and wars are going on, and the people at the bottom are living a hard life Which bring strong impact to Shakespeare’s humanism spirit. This paper take the change of Shakespeare’s spirit as main line which combined with Shakespeare’s works and understanding of the social environment for analysis the changes of writing style in Shakespeare’s works.
