Abstract

The Chinese and American cultural differences as well as some tips and inspirations from American TV series prison break.In this paper, we will make a list of the translation scenes of some of the specific American dramas. From the specific translation scenes, we can draw some differences between Chinese and American cultures and summarize some experience and skills.To provide reference for future translation work! Chinese culture is introverted, dominant, humanistic and Confucian.American culture is open, popular, scientific and Christian. The strategy of subtitle translation of American TV series is faithful to the original content, maintaining the original style, paying attention to the artistic quality of language, correctly handling culture and creative translation.
