So does the cultural content in the reading passages. This paper explores the reading passages of the reading part in the textbooks of high school and analyzes the native culture and target culture in them. The finding indicates that the reading part contains the idea of cultural instruction required by the Curriculum, whereas it also has demerits in the content. Through this paper, we hope that we can give some advice to teachers while using the reading passages.
