Analysis of the Cultural Content in the Reading Passages of High School English Textbooks

Abstract：In recent years, cultural instruction attracts more and more attention. So does the cultural content in the reading passages. This paper explores the reading passages of the reading part in the textbooks of high school and analyzes the native culture and target culture in them. The finding indicates that the reading part contains the idea of cultural instruction required by the Curriculum, whereas it also has demerits in the content. Through this paper, we hope that we can give some advice to teachers while using the reading passages.

高中英语教材阅读语篇的文化内容分析

摘要：文化教学在近年来愈发受到重视，阅读文本中的文化内容也同样受到关注。本文通过对高中英语阅读部分的阅读语篇的研读，分析其中所含的母语文化和目的语文化，发现阅读部分包含了新课标所要求的文化教学的思想，但在内容方面仍有不如人意之处。通过本文的写作，希望就阅读部分对教师如何更好地在使用阅读语篇提供一些指导。
