从目的论视角下看金融英语翻译

Abstract

In recent years, domestic experts and scholars have paid much attention to the research on the translation of financial English, and made considerable progress. However, most of the research mainly focuses on the basic characteristics and structure of financial English, but the study on financial English translation from the perspective of SkoposTheory are very few.

The emergence of the SkoposTheory has opened up a new perspective. Different from other translation theories, translators can choose feasible translation strategies to achieve the purpose of translation, which also reflects the basic principles of SkoposTheory about decision means. First of all, this article put forward the relevant factors and principles that should be taken into account in financial English translation through some examples. In addition, it explains the relevant contents of the SkoposTheory and introduces the three rules. Finally, combining with the theory and example guidance of SkoposTheory, it concludes the translation strategies such as literal translation, free translation and so on. This study aims to improve the systematic and normative translation of financial English through the application of SkoposTheory, so as to promote the exchange and cooperation of international trade.
