Moreover, State Department also made out the document on the decision of reform and development of foundation education,in which it firmly indicates to encourage cooperative learning, strengthen the cooperation between the teacher and the students, enhance mutual communication between students, develop each other together, and promote the development of learning and teaching between the teacher and the students. ”For this purpose, on the basis of analyzing the current status of middle school English teaching, based on improving the students’ English learning ability as the ultimate goal, this paper proposes the cooperative learning between the teacher and the students, discusses the theoretical basis, the application, the means and the procedure of this learning strategy, and also discusses the advantages of learning strategy in middle school English teaching. Through the study of this paper, the author hopes to put forward his own ideas to improve the effectiveness of the middle school English teaching, but also hopes to contribute a lot for the future research in this field.
