Abstract

With the rapid development of the global politics, economy, military and education in the 21Century, as a aspiring youth, strongly clear about that the education is and will continue to be the foundation of one country. While family education is the most important link through the whole education course, which the parents or other elders in family always implement on their children consciously. And It’s also the critical factor that will greatly influence a child’s whole life. Our country mainly proposes Closed Education, but western countries always follow the Open Education, especially the American family education will be the most representative of the mainstream culture of the West. The difference of cultural background between oriental and western family education directly lead to various differences in the way of family education. In a word, through the comparison between the two different family education in the field of purpose, content, mode and result, we can figure out their respective merits and demerits, thus take the essences and consummate ourselves, thereby more strongly promote the development of family education in our country.
