XCLW37065 从目的论看企业简介的汉英翻译 (字数:3817) Abstract After entered into WTO, a great environment which is full of opportunities and challenges has been created for Chinese economic development. More and more Chinese corporation are involved in to international business under such a favorable background. Because of the huge competition pressure, it is an essential part of the success of export-oriented corporations to set up a good corporate image and lay a good foundation for the development of potential customers. The English profile, in a certain degree, is a business card for a Chinese corporation. Therefore, it is very important for the corporation especially the export-oriented corporations to make a proper English profile for itself. Although the external image of the enterprise is increasingly subject to the attention of each foreign trade enterprises and domestic and foreign scholars, there are still various problems in the C-E Translation of Corporate Profiles. This thesis will discuss this topic from the perspective of skopostheory. The first part of this thesis will show the research background; in the second part, the definition, content and its development of skopostheory will be introduced and the characteristics of the corporation profiles will be stated in the third part. The last part of this thesis will discuss the translation strategies of Chinese corporate profiles.
