XCLW37127 浅谈旅游景点名称的翻译 (字数:2960) Abstract The translation of scenic spots has a dual nature, which is different from other translation. It is an important way for foreign tourists to know our own local cultural and natural scenery.And it’s also a kind of advertising language to attract foreign tourists. However,there are many problems in the translations of names of some Chinese scenic attractions. Especially it can't reflect the culture of the scenic spots. In view of this situation, this paper tries to analyzes the relationship between culture and tourism, compares Chinese and foreign cultures,analyzes the status quo of translation of names of scenic spots,discusses the translation of strategies with the translation of some famous scenes in our country. Then it points out that the translation of names of scenic spot should follow the theory of functional equivalence. The translated names should easy to be understood by foreign tourists and express cultural connotation.The writer hopes to achieve the purpose of translation, spread Chinese culture and promote the further development of tourism.
