Abstract

Chinese traditional culture along with the economy, the development of cultural globalization, fancies of men of letters is very important, in our China, especially China calligraphy is an important part of traditional culture China. At the same time, the development of TCM is influenced by the development of Chinese traditional culture. The quality of medical humanities has also improved significantly.

Chinese traditional culture with long history and connotation now is being challenged. It is not only manifested on the loss of traditional festivals, clothes and food, but also on values. As a Chinese, we have the responsibilities to maintain our root. Not a single factor is enough to explain the reason for the loss of traditional culture, because it is the synthesis which concludes politics, economy and culture. For the loss of Chinese traditional culture, the external threat is westernization; the internal threat is the lack of faith in it. Efforts from single person, government, media and education are all needed. Learning from other countries is also necessary and meaningful.  The role of educators is very important and great in maintaining traditional culture. It also shouldn't be neglected by foreign languages educators. They should put emphasis on training the students' critical and rational thinking.
