论中国近代小学英语教学的发展与变化

Abstract

Nowadays, English is playing an irreplaceable role in international communication all over the world. And English teaching has always been a hot topic. Primary English education as the beginning of English education now has garnered particular attention in China. In recent years, English education is obviously trend to younger age in China. Most primary school in cities has English classes from first grade although Chinese bureau of education actually asked open English course from third grade. So when to start English teaching in primary schools still has been a controversial subject. Beijing Municipal Education Commission even noticed that from year 2014 Beijing remove all English classes for first and second grade primary school students. The author also will discuss her ideas about is in the following article. And from the present situation of primary English education, the development direction of English in primary school and how to improve the English education in primary school become a urgent problem.
