浅谈中西方文化差异对翻译的影响

Abstract

      A cultural approach to translation Translation is one of the important ways of intercultural communication, and it is closely connected with culture. Language is based on the intercrossing and interpenetration of cultures. The existence and development of any language cannot be separated from the social environment. Social culture in some way restricts the language user’s thinking style and ability to express.

    On the one hand, I will write from these aspects: Religious differences, Custom differences, the differences between Chinese and western ways of thinking and so on. On the other hand, I will introduce how to deal with some misunderstanding in translation.

In conclusion, it is pointed out that the approaches to cultures involved in translation fall into two major schools: liter and free translation. As we construct cultural exchanges between the bridges, according to different situations, we should adopt flexible translation strategies and overcome the obstacles between Chinese and western cultural differences. We should respect the foreign culture as well as the native culture, and try to make the translation faithful and vivid.
