Wuthering Heights—The Song of Rebel

Abstract

Wuthering Heights is a representative work of Emily Bronte who is a British novelist, and it is a masterpiece of Western literature. It lays the position of Emily Bronte in English Literature. Wuthering Heights is a unique novel in the history of English literature which has been controversial since its publication. However, after the storm hits and it welcomes a warm applause. Wuthering Heights shows a permanent artistic charm.

    Main contents of Wuthering Heights focus on the heights of two generations of love and hatred, it mainly describes the love and hatred between Heath cliff and Catherine. This paper analyzes the rebellious spirit in Wuthering Heights from three perspectives: The love and hatred in Wuhtering Heights, two rebellious figures and the reasons of tragedy. From the three angles, this paper analyzes the concrete expression of the rebellious spirit in Wuthering Heights, the positive rebellious spirit lies in struggle against the feudal class and the ruling class.

《呼啸山庄》是英国小说家艾米莉·勃朗特的代表作品，是西方文学的巨著，它奠定了艾米莉·勃朗特在英国文坛的地位。《呼啸山庄》是英国文学史上的一部奇特的小说，自出版以来就一直饱受争议。然而经历了暴风雨的打击后迎来了热烈的喝彩。《呼啸山庄》显示出了一种永久的艺术魅力。

《呼啸山庄》主要内容集中描写了呼啸山庄两代人的爱恨情仇，主要集中描写了希斯克利夫人和凯瑟琳之间的爱与恨。本文从三个角度解析了《呼啸山庄》作品中的反叛精神：男女主人公的爱与恨；男女主人公反叛精神；悲剧的主要原因。从这三个角度分析了由《呼啸山庄》中反叛精神的具体表现，其中积极的反叛精神在于对于封建时代和统治阶级的斗争和反抗。
