Abstract

  English is an important teaching course in primary school modern education . As a language discipline, English has its own particularity. Except for their own teaching, teachers should pay more attention to the students' knowledge in the ability of flexible use. How to help students in achieving the flexible use of knowledge on the basic learning should be fully considered for each English teacher in the teaching process. Therefore, in English teaching, teachers should not only teach students basic knowledge, but also should help students to achieve the flexible use of knowledge. In this paper I give detailed description of the current situation of English teaching as well as the importance and necessary of the flexible primary school English teaching. According to the analysis of characteristics of English teaching in primary schools, we get series of strategies and methods to improve English teaching. And our final goal is achieving the essential promotion of quality-oriented education in primary school.
