literature review
Thesis Statement
Culture is the external symbol of a nation, but also the spirit and soul of a nation. China and India are the four ancient civilizations in the world. As two representatives of Oriental culture, they are located in similar geographical environment and have similar social structure, but their cultures are not the same. Especially under the influence of different cultures, the world outlook, life outlook and values of the two countries are in different degrees. What’s more , there are also many similarities in their cultures.
The cultural bridge is invisible so we have to take the following methods to promote culture more .
The most method of promoting culture between China and India
2.1. Respect cultural diversity and follow the principle of equality of all cultures. In cultural exchanges, we should respect differences, understand personalities, live in peace and jointly promote the prosperity of world culture. Each country's development situation is different, and the policy will be different, there are differences of course is very normal.
2.2.Strengthen the exchange, learning from and integration of Chinese and India cultures .
2.3.The cultural exchange between China and India is a two-way street. Base on Historical and geopolitical approaches to explore more promotions .
Purpose and Significance of Study
Since more and more people are learning Chinese in India. China is coming to India, and India is coming to China. According to this study ,it will be better to continue to learn and extend people through the carrier of language, and walk on the solid bridge of Chinese and Indian culture, so that it can have a new understanding of India.
Situation of Study
India and China live side by side and have exchanged business culture since ancient times. At present, it is also an emerging country, a populous country in the world and an important member of the Asian pattern. The ancient waters of the Ganges have nurtured a long Indian civilization and cast a cloud of mystery over India. This enigmatic country, with its myriad questions, attracts curious people to explore. China and India, known as the ancient civilizations of the world, have had close exchanges since ancient times.
Difficulty of Study
Despite gestures by both sides to enhance cultural exchanges and promote friendly exchanges, obstacles remain. Firstly, with the sweep of globalization, both China and India are facing the erosion of western culture. In both China and India, the understanding of western culture is deeper than that of each other. This directly reduces the attraction of Chinese and Indian culture to the people of both countries; Secondly, the common people of China and India still have limited understanding of each other's culture, and due to the lack of media communication, there are still some misunderstandings and prejudices. Therefore, cultural exchange is a long-term and arduous task for China and India.

Detailed Outline
1.Understanding Cultural Differences Between China and India .
1.1Research Background
1.2Shaking Culture
The Chinese will nod their heads in agreement and shake their heads in denial. Indians, on the other hand, are so used to wagging their heads that it is impossible to judge from their movements what they really mean. This custom is said to be related to the history of India. In ancient times, indians were so oppressed by the ruling class that they did not even have the right to say "no", so the wise Indian did not just shake his head when in doubt, but nodded his head first and then shook it left and right. Over time, modern indians still use this head-wagging expression. What exactly are they trying to say, perhaps in combination with the actual situation
1.3Rich and Poor Culture
There are also poor and rich people in China, but the gap between rich and poor is even worse in India, where the poor and rich seem to get along well. In mumbai's busiest business districts, for example, there may be squalid slums nearby. The streets are lined with rich, shiny, be jewellried people, while the streets are lined with poor people and dogs who have nothing but food and shelter. Some poor indians sometimes live in trees, some by trash cans, and they shower in broad daylight and go to the bathroom in the street. This is a scene that the Chinese may never see.
1.4Toilet Culture
When it comes to India, there is no getting around the bizarre toilet culture. The first reason why many Chinese cannot adapt to India is the toilet, which is equipped with a flushing method. A toilet in a remote area of India is simply prepared with a bucket of water and a cup. More indians do not like to go to the toilet and go to the open air.
2. Similarities In China and India Cultures
2.1About religion in China and India
Chinese culture is an ethical culture based on morality, while Indian culture is a religious culture based on belief.
2.2 India's Famous Caste System and Chinese Hierarchy
2.3 Indian Yoga Culture and Chinese Classical Culture
3.Conclusion
Among the many factors affecting china-india relations, cultural exchanges play an irreplaceable role. The long historical and cultural traditions of China and India are the foundation of the development of bilateral relations. While there are similarities between Chinese and Indian cultures, there are also more differences, which make cultural exchanges complementary. Culture is an important bridge for communication and plays a leading role. Its universality can avoid some "sensitive areas" and promote the development of bilateral relations. Only by fully understanding and understanding the cultural differences between the two countries can we effectively carry out exchanges and cooperation on the basis of mutual understanding.
