As an important part of culture, language plays a role in carrying and inheriting culture, and has a profound historical background. The development of culture is a long process of accumulation and change, which will be affected by many factors in history. The development of the times dominates the change of language and culture, while language inherits and develops culture.

Chen Feng [2] in the influence of the differences between Chinese and English on the expression of Chinese and English languages believes that the historical culture formed in the long history of a nation and a country has a profound impact on the development of language and culture, among which historical allusions are the most obvious manifestation. Historical allusions are an important part of our language expression. Different historical cultures have created allusions of various national cultural heritages.

Cai Jing [3] believes in the historical and cultural comparison of Chinese and English languages that the diversity of history and culture determines the differences of language and culture. Chinese has a long history, but the development environment is relatively closed. The development of English fully reflects the mutual penetration and influence of different cultures and languages. With the expansion of Britain and the concentrated appearance of the achievements of English national culture, it develops and expands.

Chinese belongs to the Sino Tibetan language family. It is a language developed with the formation of the Chinese nation, while English belongs to the Indo European language family. Chinese is relatively closed. As the code of Chinese national culture, it has a profound historical background of national culture, while English is relatively developed. There are a lot of Loanwords in English.

It is generally believed that there are four historical and cultural factors that have an important impact on the formation and development of Chinese [4,5]. First of all, the pluralistic Han culture has played an important role in the formation and development of Chinese language. From the spring and Autumn period and Warring States period to Qin and Han Dynasties, the surrounding ethnic groups were conquered by the rulers, and the merged nations became a part of the Han nationality, and their language and culture were also constantly integrated into the Chinese language. Second, Qin unified Chinese characters, which unified ancient Chinese and Chinese culture, and made Chinese developed and unified for thousands of years. Thirdly, religious culture also has a crucial impact on the development of language and culture. In the long history, with the formation of various religions and myths and legends, there are not only local religious sects, but also other imported religious cultures. These religious cultures enrich the vocabulary of language, and even bring a historic turn to the development of language. For example, the introduction of Buddhism has had a great impact on the development of Chinese, and the Greek mythology and Bible in western culture have also played an important role in English culture. Finally, with the change of history, the population migration brought about by social unrest also has a great impact on the development of language and culture, such as the integration of language and culture between the South and the North [6].

On the contrary, the development of English culture is more influenced by religious culture, regional characteristics, historical factors, values and customs. From a historical point of view, English compounds began to appear with the unification of England, the spread of Christianity and the entry of Latin. Later, the Normans defeated the British, and a large number of French loanwords or substitutes appeared in English, and printing was introduced into Britain. Then the Italian Renaissance movement had a great impact on English. A large number of Latin words and ancient Greece were integrated into English, which basically formed the foundation of modern English. Finally, with the expansion and colonial development of Britain after the industrial revolution, more and more languages of countries and nations were integrated into English. Therefore, from the formation history of English culture, we can see that English is a more open language system [7,8].
