1 . Introduction--The meaning of the topic

"The Great Gatsby" is an outstanding representative of the American writer, Fr. Schmidt Fitzgerald , Not only as a literary work is widely praised because of its vivid storyline and profound theme "Great Gatsby" also made the film got a wider spread , It vividly describes the American society of the 1920s ,For the social class of moral values to do an accurate and true description. After the First World War, the bustling urban and social development of the United States as the background of the story, vivid image depicts the moral values of all sectors of society at that time, intended to attack the bustling city and social development behind the people of moral decay .The author reveals the hero Gates than in the pursuit of "American Dream" in the process of showing the spirit of the fall . Revealing the author of this generation of ideal and moral sense of disillusionment. To the protagonist Gatsby life experience and misfortune as a fuse, elaborated on different levels of different human nature of morality, and Gatesby had infinite sympathy .

2.1  Abroad Research

Gatsby's dream of disillusionment is not only the profound social and historical reasons, but also with the Gatesby character in the innocent and intricate and Tom, Daisy as the representative of the American society's ruthless and moral decay is inseparable. . These factors fundamentally determine the failure and disillusionment of Gatsby's American dream.
