With the development of socialism on Chinese characteristics and global economy, English is becoming more and more important in the communication among people all over the word today. Especially for the teaching of college English including listening, speaking, reading, writing that everyone takes an important role in the procedure of college English education, we have many aspects need to learn and improve because of the cultural difference of college English education between China and western.
 A lot of Chinese teachers and educators have done much contributions and study on the cultural difference between China and western for Chinese college and university students. Yan Pan wrote an essay named “The influence of English education caused by the cultural difference between China and western” shows the cultural difference influents the English education actions directly so that teachers must notice the social cultural background and introduce the culture between China and western in the progress of teaching happily. Another educator named Xianwei Wang published an article called “The cultural permeation through English vocabulary” indicates students should read the words between lines base on the understanding of  the rich cultural knowledge and phrases which is the foundation of reading especially in college English education. Also Yuanyuan Shen has done some study on “College English education and the cultural difference between China and western” demonstrates teachers must instruct the language culture and customs which are related to the college English education and improve the multiple using power of English.
As to abroad study on the cultural difference of education for college English between China and western, the presents of western education not only explore theory but also publish educational books and put forward the new ideas. “The importance of cultural background knowledge in college English teaching” explains the importance of cultural background knowledge which means teachers and students not only learn the surface meaning but also realize the cultural background because many words and phrases have their special meaning in current language environment. “On cultivation of Cross-cultural consciousness in College English teaching” tells us that college English teachers should also strengthen students' cultural content education and cultivate students' cross-cultural consciousness in order to stimulate students' learning interest, optimize students' knowledge structure and improve students' social cultural ability through introducing language knowledge and conducting listening, speaking, reading and writing training for students.
