Abstract

West Lake is located in the west of Hangzhou. It is not only famous for its picturesque scenery, but also associated with many scholars and national heroes. In addition, many ancient buildings in the surrounding area are also one of China's most precious national treasures, with important artistic value. Many of the West Lake's scenic spots together symbolize China's splendid historical and cultural elements. 

This is consistent with the key factors in the translation of tourist information texts. By combining literary theory with non-literary translation in an innovative perspective, the author draws the enlightenment of the reception aesthetics theory on Chinese-English translation practice in West Lake, and puts forward a suitable translation strategy: adapting to the target text.
