Abstract

Heroism refers to be not mediocre or not lives and not works unknowingly by the public, loves to strike a self sacrifice spirit and will quality and makes extraordinary .The subject of hero in western literature has been existed for a long times.At the period of reconnaissance, British writer Shakespeare writing "Hamlet" and "Macbeth" ,described a tragic hero Prince Hamlet who dared to act reasonably and to be be not reckless, and the other tragic hero Macbeth who became a criminal and brought destruction on himself.The modern female writer J K Rowling's novel series "Harry Potter", gave us a boy Harry Porter who was brave,friendly,bright, and had a sense of justice and responsibility. In this paper, we describe the traditional heroism and modern heroism in both of eastern one and western one, and how the heroism act the importance in series "Harry Potter". We also do the analysis on their similarities and differences.It can be said, the successful of series "Harry Potter" made in all of the world depended on the same understanding value by the people in every country.
