Domestic research status

As a language tool, we should learn to communicate with others and express our views clearly through language, so "speaking" is very important. "English Curriculum Standards for Primary Schools" points out that along the way of reform and opening up, The scale of English education in China has been continuously expanding and remarkable achievements have been made in education and teaching. However, the current situation of English education cannot meet the needs of China's economic construction and social development, and there is still a gap with the requirements of the development of The Times. The English curriculum reform is to change the focus of the English course too much emphasis on grammar and vocabulary, ignoring the cultivation of student's actual language using ability, emphasizes the course from the students' interest in learning, life experience and cognitive level, advocates experience, practice, participation, cooperation and the exchange of learning and task-based teaching approach, developing students' comprehensive language using ability. Therefore, in the following research results, teaching methods applicable to today provide a very effective promotion for our future oral English education, which also responds to the call of the country.

1. By taking teachers as the leader and students as the main body, oral English can be flexibly used as a communicative tool in class. Their initiative and enthusiasm are limited.

3. II. Research status abroad
In the 1960s, James Asher proposed Total Physical Response (TPR), which advocated linking language and behavior and teaching foreign languages through body movements. According to the rule of learning language itself from the perspective of children to learn a language, you will first need to the ability of the children learn to listen, to develop the ability to read and write, I feel it is very accord with young learners' learning rule, suitable for growing need and it is a kind of language option vivid forms to introduce a new language, I think the ability to listen to and said complement each other, improve the students' comprehensive ability.

In the current foreign language teaching reform in Primary and secondary schools in Europe, it is advocated to cultivate students' communicative competence. Teachers encourage students to express their views in the target language as much as possible in class, limit the use of mother tongue, and require them to stop communicating with each other by ignoring language words and grammatical errors. And the use of teaching materials and multimedia as close to students' real life as possible.


Through the above research on oral English teaching in China and Europe, we can find that with the continuous progress of the society and the exchange and cooperation of economy, politics and culture at home and abroad, oral English learning is very important for us who take English as the first foreign language. Although we in the early exam-oriented education under the pressure, to a certain extent, primary and middle school students of oral English practice is relatively weak. Now we combine the English learning situation, actively learn from English-speaking countries can use for reference to the teaching theories, methods and strategies to promote and improve our oral English learning, and change in a scientific way and solve the small and medium-sized students reveal a problem in speaking English, to lay a good foundation for the study in the future.
