Abstract 

Language which people use in their daily lives can be both simple and at the same time very complicated. The English idioms are in their broadest sense, including colloquialisms, proverbs, slang expressions and allusions. English and Chinese are two highly developed languages, and therefore have a lot of idioms, these idioms are important rhetoric in language means, with a clear image and appropriate metaphor, and idioms are also rich in cultural information . English and Chinese idioms carry different national characteristics and cultural information of English and Chinese, due to differences in geography, history, religion, customs and so on. Therefore, the translation of idioms not only to translate the idiom of the original image, rhetorical methods, but also translated its national characteristics and local characteristics, and pay full attention to their cultural differences. The difference in way of thinking is essentially a cultural difference. There are many people in the world, their thinking activities and thinking activities are closely linked to the language, there must be many similarities, which is the common humanity. However, almost all nationalities have their own unique way of thinking, and the way of thinking differences, it constitutes one of the important reasons for different cultural types.
