1.The goals of the subject 

First ,We can understand more correctly the differences and reasons between Chinese and American family education 

Because of many differences in cultural traditions, the concept of consciousness, lifestyle, and social customs between the two countries, there are also many differences in family education To compare the difference between Chinese and American family education In reference to American family education analyse present profundly. The advanced idea of the premise we have problems .

, Second, Family, as the cell of society, is the first place that children receive education.. At present, the situation of family education is good. A large number of parents and schools have created successful experience, even many parents study the family education knowledge initiatively. The educational idea has experienced profound changes. Nevertheless, family education is still a weak link，and some serious problems occur. we can  find a better way to educate our children, we should study other countries’ experience. American family education is the most famous one among them. Third, An accurate understanding and learning of advanced education method from foreign countries has great practical significance for the healthy growth of children and improvement of future talent quality.

2. The content of research topic

The first part deals with the definition of family education. The second part will compare of family education between America and China , This part will contrast Chinese family education with American family education in education concepts, contents, methods, education aim etc. It is important and helpful to study the differences of family education between China and USA, which can help China to change parents’ inaccurate concepts, correct the unreasonable teaching ways and improve parents' proficiency, then bring an more equal and democratic atmosphere to family teaching. The third part writes the reasons for the differences mentioned above. The last part concludes that we should pay attention to the different features of family education between China and America in order to promote the development of family education.
