The translation of West Lake scenic spots is to express the meaning of one language in another language accurately and completely. However, this is not easy. It is necessary to master some basic translation skills, and under the guidance of theory, we can have enough ability to make the introduction of West Lake scenic spots conform to the original artistic conception and style. This paper attempts to study the application of translation theories in the introduction of West Lake scenic spots.(一) Current situation of domestic researchSome scholars in the field of translation believe that the achievements of Chinese translation studies are mainly reflected in the following three aspects: (1) discussion on translation criteria, (2) microcosmic questions (translation techniques), A contrastive study of Chinese and English, (3), western translation theory based on linguistics and various cross-disciplinary studies. (Wang Dawei 2001) and the introduction by the Chinese translation community of western translation theories (including the study of localization based on western theories) is only a matter of the last ten years. At the same time, since they are introduced, they comment on the theories of the outside world. Gu Ming Shi Yi is not inherent in Chinese translation theory. Therefore, strictly speaking, the research results of Chinese traditional translation theories are mainly the translation standard system (1984) and various translation techniques.

（二）Current situation of foreign researchContemporary western translation theory...[1]  Since the 1950s, there have been a number of scholars in the West who apply modern linguistic theories such as structural theory, transformation theory, functional theory, discourse theory, information theory and so on. They have brought translation into the field of linguistics. From the perspectives of comparative linguistics, applied linguistics, sociolinguistics, semantics, semiotics and communicative science, this paper puts forward relatively rigorous translation theories and methods, and opens up a new field of translation studies. It has injected new contents into the traditional translation studies. They are veritable translation theorists in the history of contemporary western translation, the most important of whom are Roma. N Jakobson) Eugene Nida (Eugen A. Nida) (Peter Newmark). J. C. Catford.  Strictly speaking, it is this group of scholars' academic discussion on translation that uncovers the theoretical level in the history of contemporary western translation.  This is the current situation and theoretical results of translation at home and abroad, and how these theories will be applied to the introduction of scenic spots. At present, there is no systematic study in the field of translation. This paper is to explore the application of these translation theories in practice. And from the West Lake scenic spot to introduce this angle to study.
