Forasmuch the further globalization of economy and communication nowadays, the communications between different countries and nations are becoming more frequen-t and significant, terminologies are always utilized in the field of industrial engineering during the international trade. For example, there are always some technical communicating conferences within the company and contacts with foreign customers via e-mail, but discussions between each other are usually suspended due to some uncomprehending words in some special engineering areas, therefore, terminology application appears particularly important. The professional translating techniques about terminologies will make the business get twice the result with half the effort. This thesis will focus on the application of terminology in the field of injection mold engineering, especially in international trade. 

Literature review

Domestic research status

The domestic study on the terminology of injection mold engineering mostly stays in the teaching research of higher education, e.g. the textbooks named New Professional English of Mold, edited by Ren Yundan, Beijing: Chemical Industry Publishing House, 2012 (in Chinese), Professional English of Mold, edited by Huang Yijun, Beijing: Tsinghua University Press cover English terminologies of injection mold engineering mention the translation skills surrounding injection molding. Indeed, the workers have their owner phraseologies in the industrial production process, although the meanings of the terminologies that they say are identical in a large sense, different words under some certain specific language environment could make converses discontinuous or ambiguous. Even that it would cause serious economic losses in international business and trade.

Overseas research status

According to foreign literature records, most statements concerned terminologies of injection mold engineering are on the basis of their own language habits in the same way. The habits of thinking also affect the exactitude of the terminology’s translation in different nations, in the meantime, subjective consciousness exists differences between Western Europe and North America, and there are so many copious descriptions of an object or an action in a language in a country. People’s subjective awareness determines the diversity of translation among different countries. The translating diversity exists in different regions among the people who speak English.

Therefore it is necessary to establish principles of terminology in some certain areas to impel and enhance speed of the World’s development.
