摘要

   述补结构是汉语特有的语法结构形式。在英语中没有与其对应的句子成分。尽管在对述补结构的研究已经很广泛，但对其如何英译做出研究的还很少。本篇^范文就汉语述补结构的概念、结构及分类进行了初步分析，并将其与一些英语的结构相比较。最后根据一些翻译理论，探索了英译的方法。

Abstract

  The predication-complement construction is a distinctive grammatical feature in Chinese. Although the research into predication-complement construction is vast, less attention has been paid to the ways of translation into English. This paper specifies its definition, construction and classification: is also compares this construction with some English structures. At last, based on some translation theories, this paper probes into the ways to translate the predication-complement construction into English.

The Analysis of Chinese Predication-complement Construction and Its Translation into English

                　　　　　 

1.   Introduction 

The Chinese predication-complement construction is a word or phrase added to a verb to complete the predicate of a sentence. Now many scholars have researched the definition, pattern and classification of the Chinese predication-complement construction, some even contrast it with the English complement, object and adverbial.

Huang Borong and Liao Xudong analyze the construction and the classification of the Chinese predication-complement construction and contrast it with the Chinese object and adverbial. Ren Xueliang sums up the grammatical character of the Chinese predication-complement construction and analyzes its definition and classification. Xu Shizhen analyzes the definition of the English adverbial and the Chinese adverbial and predication-complement construction and their correspondent relation. He Shanfen researches the definition, the construction and the character of the English complement and the Chinese predication-complement construction. Miao Jin’an researches the Chinese predication-complement construction very systematically. He analyzes it both in grammatical structure and in semantic structure.

 The predication-complement construction is really a fruitful research field in Chinese grammar. But few people probe into its translation into other languages. Therefore, this paper aims to analysis the construction of Chinese Predication-complement and its translation into English.
