In this age, cross-cultural communication is inevitable. We learn English also for communication.

In this paper, the author emphasizes the importance of cross-cultural communication factors in English language learning to meet the needs of modern society development. And the author thinks it is necessary to add cultural background into English language learning. Only in this way can we get the real target of language learning. 

It is necessary for college students to practise cross-cultural communication in college English learning. Cross-cultural communicative ability is an important component of language communicative ability.
