1.Literature Review:
In this age, cross-cultural communication is inevitable. We learn English also for communication. As we all know, the world today is made up of neither lonely islands nor isolated cultures - global culture is going through a process of communication and probably conflicts or integration. Today Cross-cultural communication is a field of study that looks at how people from differing cultural backgrounds communicate, in similar and different ways among themselves, and how they endeavour to communicate across cultures. Intercultural communication is a related field of study.

Many have been devoted to the analysis of either Cross-cultural Communication  or learning English from English films and TV. Relatively few Combing both together. For example, For people learning English,there are many problems,such as poor speaking comprehension,small vocabulary,slow reading speeds,lack of communication skills,and so on. English language films are ideal for overcoming these problems,as they aid the English learning method by providing a single,passive learning experience that inte grates listening,speaking,reading,writing,and other language skills. Language reflects culture, and culture is the content of what language carries. Both of them make influence on people’s communication. Body Language in Cross-cultural Communication is also import, With the development of the world, cross-cultural communication becomes more and more general. To pay attention to the cross-cultural study and to familiarize with the errors in our daily cross-cultural communication are two important ways to foster and improve the ability of cross-cultural communication. They are also two important parts to make cross-cultural communication activities smoothly. Body language is a way of nonverbal communication commonly used in human contact, the main function of it is to make our language colorful and expressive. If you can use body language suitably, then you can get better effect. Otherwise you will fall into communication failures. The euphemism is tied to ethnic psychology, religion, values, customs and other factors. It is good to deepen our knowledge of Sino-Western language and culture by getting more information about euphemism. And to learn more about euphemism can help you reduce barriers in cross-cultural communication.We also can know them from the films and TV.

In this paper, the author emphasizes the importance of cross-cultural communication factors in English language learning to meet the needs of modern society development. And the author thinks it is necessary to add cultural background into English language learning. Only in this way can we get the real target of language learning. Cross-cultural communicative ability is an important component of language communicative ability.

For English learning, interest is very important. In this age, the students are almost interested in cross-cultural communication. For example, foreign films and television works is very popular in the students. By watching the foreign films and television works, it is also one method for cross-cultural communication. There are a lot of methods for cross-cultural communication and English learning. It often happens that cultural icons cross national boundaries in the form of movies. What happens in these cross-cultural cinema works has drawn wide attention from cultural researchers and educators, as Tierney (2006) concludes, “transcultural interpretation of film is an inevitability in both daily life and academic settings” (Tierney 414). Importantly, Chan and McIntyre (2002) is a collection of research papers exploring transcultural topics such as Hollywood and the film market in China, contributing towards “our understanding of the increasingly global nature of nationality, culture, and identity” .

National "English curriculum standards" clearly put forward: to broaden the cultural perspective of the students, the development of intercultural communication awareness and basic cross-cultural communication skills. Cultural awareness has been included in the content standards and requirements of the English language teaching. Therefore, how to carry out culture teaching in English teaching, deepen the student to the Chinese and English difference understanding in practice so as to improve the student's intercultural communicative competence has become an important task for teachers under the new curriculum.

In sum, We are learning English , usually reading books or textbooks , because of different life times and cultural backgrounds, so that we understand each other from different place is very difficulty, the enthusiasm for learning may effect ,learning English culture from English films and TV is a good method for kill two birds with one stone. However, it seems to be a lack of in-depth and detailed analysis and comparison, which will surely Improve learning efficiency and experience more different cultures. Thus my study may hopefully make some contribution in this direction.

To this end, the main part of this article from the literature review, summed up some methods for English learning and cross-cultural communication.
