浅谈《狮子王》与《哈姆雷特》的复仇主题OnheThemeofRevergeinTheLionKingandHamle_开题报告

Revenge is an eternal theme in human society, emotion and literary works. 

In the Gospel of Matthew, there is a word for saying revenge, that is: “an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.”

In the Han Dynasty of China, the book of Yue Jue wrote by Yuan Kang says that if minister doesn’t revenge for the emperor, he is not a good minister; if son doesn’t revenge for his father, he is not a good son.

The theme of revenge has a rich and lasting expression in the scope of eastern and western (films) literature.

(1) the research status of domestic films with the theme of revenge 

in the Chinese literature, revenge is the main motivation for family ethics and social mission. 

the Chinese revenge literature pays more attention to revenge itself. 

(2) the research status of British and American films with the theme of revenge 

in the western literature, revenge is mostly motivated by individual dignity. 

the Western revenge literature pays more attention to the subject's spiritual world, personality changes and so on. For example: 

Like Shakespeare's "Hamlett" (adapted from the homonymous film),it mainly tells a series of plot stories about Hamlett's revenge for his father, It reveals Hamlett's pursuit of morality so that have a hesitant disposition to act on everything.

And The Lion King is animated epic musical film. The story is based on Shakespeare's famous work, Hamlett (also called the prince's revenge), and it is called Hamlett in the animal kingdom. TheLion King tells the story- the little lion king Simba in many enthusiastic friends, not only experienced the most glorious moment in life, also encountered the most difficult challenge, finally became the king of the forest. He also experienced the true meaning of life in the cycle of life and growth in nature. In the film, Simba's confusion of fate and the test of his fate, although it is painful, but also a stumbling block to Simba's success and growth.
