Literature review
With the further development of economic globalization, foreign trade has made greater progress. Business English, as an international language, has played an inestimable function in the practice and development of international trade.       
Translation is the communication between different languages and cultures. It is a bridge linking different people and countries. If people from different countries and different languages cannot communicate well with each other then it can cause serious problems, particularly in fields such as medicine or law. Because of the importance of translation, how to translate precisely becoming very challenging for translators. There are many discrepancies between western culture and Chinese culture, and how to overcome the barriers caused by culture is a big problem that translators need to face. 
Chinglish occurs very often when a mistranslation of English stems from the Chinese way of thinking. Chinglish is created mainly because of the differences between Chinese and English cultures and thought patterns. Lack of cultural understanding also contributes to Chinglish. Guo (2008) identifies that the differences in grammatical rules between Chinese and English to be another major cause of Chinglish. So on the translation of business English, we should not only focus on the translation skills, but also need to understand the cultural background, and to be familiar with the cultural differences, communication paradigm and translation skills of business English. Identifying the cultural sensitivity of a language can also improve overall translation quality. When the cultural context is mistranslated, potential misunderstandings will be produced. Li (1998) and Sun (2003) state that understanding cultural background and cultural differences could help minimize communication gaps. Solving these problems will improve the quality of business English translation. 
The purpose of this thesis is to identify cross-cultural differences and provide solutions for improving business English translation quality. The thesis is divided into three sections. The first section gives brief overview of the definition of culture and the relationship between cultural differences and business English translation. Culture directly influences the business cooperation. The second sector points out it is important to note that culture and nationality are not always the same. Cultures within a nation can be distinct. There are many differences in cultural background, religion belief, custom and thought pattern between China and western countries. And they play an important role in Business English translation. The third section explores translation methodologies, and offering some approaches to overcome the barriers for improving business English translation quality.
