One Story, Two Cultures- A Comparison between “The Song of Mulan” and the Movie “Mulan-开题报告

To sum up, scholars and critics have explored and studied the different images of Chinese and American Mulan from various angles, making the research reach an unprecedented level. 

Research Objectives:

This study intends to make a comparative analysis of the differences between the image of Mulan in Chinese culture and that in Hollywood cartoons, and to explore and explain the reasons for these differences.Through discussion and research, it is concluded that Hollywood has transformed the image of Hua Mulan, which is industrious, brave, kind and honest in Chinese culture, into one with distinct individualism and feminist spirit, and its ultimate intention is to promote the spirit of individualism and feminism in the United States to the audience all over the world.
