Cultural differences in the daily life between Chinese and American families---开题报告

A family begins with two people. Love deepens and grows between a coup and soon a wedding. There are a lot of reasons cause the cultural differences between China and the United States, the study found that the biggest difference is the family life. Sociologist mark Hutt said that family culture is a unique marriage, marriage, divorce, family identity and responsibility; children's socialization, living and family stability of norms and values.

Chinese family with blood relations, and fixed in the relationship net, meet all the social needs of their own and perform all kinds of essential duty here, extremely focused on family relationships. American families emphasize the position of an independent individual, not dependent on family nor dependent on others. In the daily life, the member in American familiy is independent ,it can be said to be not disturbed each other, but the Chinese family is usually a large home net, including a couple of the two sides, all the relatives and contact each other.

In the daily life, the parents, brothers and sisters in the American family always speak some kind words as "please", "thank you”, and so on. Westerners care more about individual privacy. They never ask any new friends about the personal economy, the situation of marriage, and other aspects of politics. In China, there is not so much rules in the family relatives. In family gatherings, especially invite people to come home. The food is ready when the guests arrive in American family. Opposite, we usually get ready for the meal until the guests is coming, especially in the cold weather.

Americans choose to dress according to the occasion in daily life, when they were invited to the party, they must ask in advance what clothes to wear. They will never in pajamas outside. But some people in China like to go supermarket or go for a walk after meals in pajamas.

Nowadays, many of the Chinese family centered on children, always listening to them whatever they say, help them to do everythings  in the daily  life, especially the one-child families, they can get the money as long as they want. Many parents fear their children to lose or learn bad ,limit the children contact with the outside world. The children's performance is the most important, so that they ignore their independent ability and mental health. American families focus on freedom and equality to get along with their children, pay attention to exercise the child's independent consciousness and ability to live independently, practice more than the theory.

Chinese families are also like to keep in touch with the neighbors, They argued that the nearest-neighbour is importanter than the distant relative, we can help each and understanding, take public responsibility, so as to create a relaxed and friendly relationship. Most American families know their neighbors through a party., but you must be in the list of invited. If you want to visit your neighbors, even your relatives, you need to make an appointment in advance. But in the Chinese family relatives visit is very normal, you don't even need to make reservations in advance.

Because of the difference of historical development and values, so we have different culture and family member relations, the two countries of family culture is diverse.
