跨文化交流对英语学习的影响_开题报告

According to the <The linguistics and language communication means guide> that published by former German democratic republic, the book said that, a total of 5651 known language in the world today, there are 4200 species recognized independent language, including more than 1 million people use have 19 species. And English is the main international language in the world, from the point of the world, more than 10 countries speak English as a native language, English is the official language of 45 countries, one-third of the world's population (2 billions) speak English. English is also the United Nations official working language.

With the acceleration of globalization of the world economy, there are more and more international communication and cooperation between different cultures. The staff in different cultural background increasing international exchanges, a large number of multinational company's appearance made labor cultural background multiplication tendency is increasingly obvious. Intercultural communication is becoming increasingly important.

But communication is an important mean of expressing yourself because it exists different ways of expression and so different kind of communication depending on the culture you belong to .The way of communicating will not be the same as other countries and it is important to know some values of other cultures and so of other ways of communicating for, first of all, avoiding some misunderstandings and then knowing better some aspects of different cultures .That is why cross-cultural communication is an essential exercise to do.

In this case, with English learning becoming popular in China, more and more people would like to throw their energy into the research of this language. Because of the relationship between language and culture, English learning is not only the language learning but also the culture learning. It is necessary to learn about the cultural background of this language. For Chinese learner, English learning is the second language learning, it has inevitably involved cross-cultural communication, so the cultural differences are important factors in it. Learning English as our second language, it can be used as our important bridge of intercultural communication. However, in different cultural background, cultural differences will inevitably affect English learning. So we need to understand and learning related culture.

This paper analyzes the cultural differences both in English and Chinese for Chinese learners to learn English. First of all, on the base of the second language learning relevant background and the angle of the relationship between language and culture background knowledge, deduce the importance of background knowledge on second language learning. Then from learning a foreign language "receive" and "express" process, specific analysis of the cultural differences both in English and Chinese respectively, and its bad influence to English learners. Finally introduced how to avoid the impact of these differences lead to, and the attitude of the learners .
