(1) Related research at home
In our country, the research and practice of mobile learning began in the early twenty-first Century, started late, mainly in the development of the Ministry of education. Compared with the developed countries, our research level is not high, the effect of technical environment and personnel have certain limitations, the depth and breadth of research are not enough, in recent years due to the rapid development of China's economic strength, the conditions should be met, the research on mobile learning to develop more scale of the study.
At present, the main strategies of China's technology, mobile learning is taken to carry out mobile learning in PDA and intelligent mobile phone, and give full play to use audio, video and streaming media, pictures, SMS, network, select on the mobile device curriculum materials, introduce advanced technology advanced methods in the literature, China; CNKI, a total of 112055 pieces of paper to retrieve relevant records, only in 2013 reached 16891 pieces of literature. Through the past few years, our country on the mobile learning books, important journals and the analysis can be summed up the following four points: The less professional books on mobile learning, the current major mobile learning books Mobile learning - the theory of the status quo, Mobile learning theory and practice and so on. In the study of basic theory and mobile learning background, status and other aspects of mobile learning, the increasing number of journals, research status and background in this part, researchers can better grasp the current mobile learning, thorough analysis and clear, many literatures of mobile learning for nearly ten years of research, people are at a glance. At present, in the aspect of the application of research and empirical studies are lacking, in the application of most of the literature is a research on mobile learning system design and other technical aspects, and for the application of mobile learning of learners in the study are scattered, difficult to control the overall situation. In the mobile terminal survey for mobile learning as the research, such as the Internet Consumer Research Center for the study China mobile phone market annual report reflects the status of mobile equipment sales, but it is easy to use, mobile learning is regarded as an appendix of mobile devices, the research lack of theoretical support. 
(2) Related research at abroad
Mobile learning research first began in the United States, 1994, Carnegie Mellon University carried out a research project of Wire Andrew, this work ultimately makes the campus teachers and students can enjoy the convenience of the wireless communication technology to support mobile learning brings. Then on the mobile learning research have been launched, throughout the world, Europe's mobile learning research activities are more active, research and application is relatively wide. To carry out the European Commission funded m-learning project, the use of advanced technology, convenient and easy to use, for those unemployed or impoverished people, let them learn their courses of interest, including project research platform and system, suitable for small screen learning resources (for various devices), collaboration tools etc. 
The researched on the application of mobile learning in primary and secondary education include Department of human computer interaction research, University of California at Berkeley, mobile learning research project, Singapore Mobiskoolz project, the European 2GO Learning project. These projects improve the efficiency of classroom communication and the effect of outdoor learning for teachers and students.
The researched on the application of mobile learning in Higher Education include the study on the effectiveness of mobile learning in the University of Hallam Sheffield, the Harvard School of education and the HDUL project. These projects improve the efficiency of mobile learning, the research on the effectiveness of mobile learning in Hallam Sheffield University in UK, such as the mobile experiment research, the promotion of mutual efficiency, the promotion of collaboration and knowledge construction, and the construction of mobile campus. 
The above points can be seen on the development of China's mobile learning is not balanced, the theory of partial light practice, many research achievements are from abroad to study, no processing to create according to the specific conditions of our country, so many fruits are useless, we have to explore their own research in reference at the same time, the formation of with Chinese characteristics of learning theory and model for China, for the majority of learners' service.
