 Part1  The literature review in China
With the rapid economic globalization and the frequent international business contacts, the importance of business translation is becoming more and more important. After China's accession to World Trade Organization, more and more businessmen have access to outside world to expand their businesses. However, language becomes a prominent problem for more and more Chinese businessmen. Under this case, business translation plays a critical role in international trade for Chinese businessmen. It is of vital importance not only for businessmen but for the development of Chinese economy.    Business English is a cross subject of English language and international business. Business English is one of the common language of daily business communication,which is also developed on the basis of common English. However, due to the uniqueness of business English, it will lead to some problems in the translation of business activities.
Over the past years, translation gets its appropriate treatment as an academic pursuit in China for a long history, and the fruitful achievements in the research of  translation, such as Yan Fu's “faithfulness, expressiveness and elegance”, and Fu Lei’s “vivid, lifelike”, etc., which have gained the influence of the masses in China. However, almost all of the results are concentrated in literary translation, and the study of English translation in business contacts is limited. 
The features of business English translation are greatly different from those of literary translation, and the traditional literary translations are not so suitable for business field. However, business translation has for a long time remained only a practical pursuit and been ignored by Chinese academic field, it is recently that has become the focus of attention. The input from academic endeavor will certainly give an impetus to the theoretical development of business translation practice, selecting from many frameworks of translation theories which are most suitable for business translation.
Up to now, there are not as many books or studying in business translation as those that concern other kinds of translations in China, though there is rapid development in this area. But there are still many famous scholars who have made tremendous contributions to business translation in recent years. Professor Jia Wenbo (贾文波,中南大学外国语学院中外文化交流与翻译研究所副所长)published a book named Pragmatic Translation with a Functional view and one of its chapters is contributed to business translation. There is also one chapter in Professor Fang Mengzhi's (方梦之,上海大学)A Coursebook On Pragmatic Translation discussing business translation. Professor Liao Yun(廖芸,甘肃政法学院人文学院) also published several books centered on many aspects of business translation. And there are a number of papers and discussions in many periodicals concerning business translations in recent years. However, there are few books that offer systematic researches and concentrate on business translation and few theories are applied in business translation; consequently, the systematic research on business translation and its suitable theories is urgent in China.
