Domestic scholars have always carried out a multi-level exploration of this work.  Zhang Lianqiao's The Ethical Narrative of the “Oracle” Story on "Oedipus King" holds that the oracle is the key point of the drama and promotes the development and change of the plot.The whole play revolves around the oracle which is just a way of existence of fate and shows the Greek concept of fate. Xu Changbin and Xu Yingyue's "Discussion about the Essence of Oedipus' Identity Anxiety" describes the defects of Oedipus' characters,such as arbitrariness, conceit and arrogance, and analyzes the origin of these personality defects and their influence on his tragic fate.Wang Guanbo's "Resistance of Oedipus: an Analysis of the Ancient Greek tragedy "King Oedipus" refers to the revolt spirit of the Greek people towards their fate, but also points out that fate cannot be cast off at that time.It is also pointed out that Oedipus' human weakness is the foreshadowing of the tragedy.Shen Jiayu's View on the Fate of Ancient Greek Tragedy from "King Oedipus" explains in detail the embodiment of the ancient Greek people's view of destiny in his works and the function of this concept.Qin Dan's Rethinking of the Typical Significance of the Tragedy in King Oedipus describes the secret of the work as a tragic model, and holds that "there are obvious defects in the way of viewing from the perspective of the text".But "the reading of the text" can provide a completely new thinking on the significance of its tragic model.   The traditional comments insist that the tragic outcome of Oedipus is due to the tragic defects in his character. These views have seen the tragic fate of Oedipus, but basically ignore the positive aspects of the struggle between Oedipus and his destiny.Man and fate are eternal themes. In the face of fate, people do not give in. Even if being played by fate, they also fight with their wisdom, courage, strengthen and other good qualities.
