I．Literature review

     According to Haitao Cui’s view(2010),personal heroism is objective,when the spirit of heroic and self-sacrifice appeared in the whole activities,embodied in the behavior of individual and made the behavior have great significance, there is heroic spirit. Jin Qi(2009) said,in the Marvel Studios,personal ability is the best embodiment of personal heroism.In general,personal heroism mainly reflected in two aspects:individuals and heroes.

     In the film, whether civilians or the president,the protagonists are all single-handed and alone,regardless of what identity the protagonists have in the film,they must be intelligent and bear a variety of skills.Yingjuan Shi(2010) said,as a citizen of immigrant country,Americans attach great importance to the individual's hard work and adventurous spirit.It can be said that individualism is the spirit of the United States,it is the core of American culture and the most important value of the Americans."No freedom, rather die" is the extreme individualism,as long as the freedom and personal interests are hurt,it will break out personal struggle against authority without fear of opponents’ power.The heroes of Marvel Studios are born conform to this popular desire,the heroes are usually alone, but they are brave,invincible,and the story usually ends with justice and finally defeats evil.

     Movies of Superhero have accompanied a lot of 80s and 90s’ growth,in May 4, 2012,the Avengers took the lead in the United States,when this film adapted by the superhero comic once released,it immediately sparked a warm concern,this is not the first time Marvel Studios brings the audience such a grand visual feast, since 2002, a new superhero movie Spiderman went into people's vision,Marvel have launched a series of films which are based on the comic characters who have been published,and the Avengers showed the explosive breakthrough of Marvel Studios intensively.

     Throughout the process of the rise of Marvel,we can find that,in 2008, Marvel officially brought the first movie of superhero which took four characters of its comic as the hero onto the screen, that is Iron Man,this is a success and bring Marvel nice box office and rising reputation.So Marvel began to build their own universe plan on the film,in the second parallel world superheroes have the same world view,and we found that each step was almost perfect,thus sketched out a complete unified film universe.Xiaoling Zhang(2012) thought,the types of comedy, action, love and science fiction have always been the mainstream of Hollywood films,and this conventional pattern was shook by the concepts of Marvel Studios,because of its unique and creative characters,and combined with the analysis of needs of current audience,it brought blossoming state for the blank of Heroic subject in Hollywood movies.Wenxing Zhang(2013)said,with the pace of Marvel Studios’ actively building super hero,movies gradually accelerated,Marvel Studios accumulate the number and size of the shot on the basis of the original films,and set up a good team of production,forming a better mode of operation.Therefore,compared with other films adapted by comics,films adapted by super hero have a more strong self-feature,this obvious mark makes these films enduring.

    Superhero movies are hot,as well as the competition between such subjects of film companies including Marvel,DC and etc.Qin Tang(2012)said,America’s comic market has long been split by the two comic publishing companies, one is Marvel comic publishing company,which has produced super hero series like Warfare,Spiderman,Iron Man and so on, while the other is the DC comic publishing company, which has published well-known superhero comics such as Green Arrow Man,Batman,Superman and so on.Suping Ai(2011)said, Comics published by the two comic publishing companies caused a burst of waves of various heroes subjects.Therefore,to explain the mechanism of super hero’s being movies from comics and explore the reason why superhero comics are hot and become commercial selling films,the answer is that the innovation and development Marvel Studios company have made on the films of super hero are always the focus.

     Wenshuo Liu(2012)said,Marvel Studios always give modern heroic mythologies they created a layer of traditional, simple, universal lofty thinking coat,so that they make the audiences who have all the world's different cultural levels and cultural identity feel the sacred ideas and lofty spirit these films carried.So the audience is not only difficult to see what problems do the cultural values have in these films,but also on the contrary think these heroic myths guide the viewer to pursue the truth and goodness in different levels,longing for justice, dignity, freedom, human rights and other beautiful ideals.Xue Yin(2013)said,the images of personal heroism created by Marvel Studios have a common feature,that is make personal hero infinite, thus showing the value orientation of the extreme personal heroism,the typical symptoms expressed as:First, heroes generally have absolutely strong physical qualities, such as robust muscles, steel-like bodies, handsome or beautiful appearance, and so on.Second, they generally have a superior intellectual talent,such as knowledgeable,comprehensive ability, with stunts, contingency, etc.,Bond is a typical representative of this type, shooting, flying knife, skiing, fighting, cards (gambling), swimming,diving, driving (racing, aircraft, boats) and good sociality are his specialties;the third,they generally have extraordinary willpower,such as ultra-limit patience,tenacious fighting, winning faith;the fourth, they generally have almost all the advantages of the perfect male or female; the fifth,they save the day again and again by virtue of personal power and eventually turn the corner.The sixth, most heroes often dare to resist the US government's individual fighters.The government is engaged in conspiracy, personal heroes dare to expose the government's conspiracy, confronting with the strong government and ultimately let the government make a fool,they defend justice, freedom, democracy, human rights and so on.
