In recent years, the trend of economic globalization has increased, and exchanges between countries have become closer. Our country will build closer ties with other countries. Because of the frequent occurrence of values, ethics and moral values, national customs, and cultural conflicts, many jokes and embarrassment of people have been caused. This has seriously affected the smooth progress of communication and friendship between countries. They are many matters of conflicts in intercultural communication of chinese culture and western culture, and it seriously affects the course of communication. Therefore, it is increasingly important to understand the differences between Chinese and Western cultures. In order to develop people's intercultural communication skills, we must understand the conflict between Chinese and Western cultures. At the same time, we should take some measures to avoid cultural conflicts, allow exchanges between countries, and make cross-cultural exchanges an enjoyment for everyone, not just fear. They are several culture conflicts: the conflicts on the sense of time, the conflicts on the traditional cultures, the conflicts on the personal privacy and the conflicts on the table manners. The reasons are: The difference in the mode of thinking, The difference in the concept of value, the difference in the religious faith.

Introduction 

Culture is a complex that includes knowledge, beliefs, art, law, morals, customs and members of society, as well as the conditions for developing the right path. Communication is the process by which people use language and socio-cultural knowledge to transfer information, so it is necessary to learn about cultural background. Knowledge of English culture can help to communicate smoothly and effectively. Conversely, if we do not understand English culture, it will inevitably lead to cultural conflicts and misunderstandings. Under the above circumstances, cross-domain, cross-ethnic, cross-cultural economic and social exchanges will increase and provide us with many contacts and exchanges with Western countries, but this will not be easy. Because we come from unfamiliar cultures and countries, we have different ways of thinking and living habits, and cultural conflicts occur when we communicate with Westerners.
