1 The purpose, significance, research status, basic contents and main problems to be solved of the topic selection

1.1 The purpose and significance

The ageing of English education has become a trend of English education activities in China, especially since the gradual opening of English courses in elementary schools in cities across the country in 2001, the subject of English is not only popular in primary schools but also in kindergartens and early education institutions popular. Some parents want their children to be exposed to English as soon as possible, so they can start learning English when they are 3 to 6 years old. After entering the 21st century, with the development of economic globalization, the status of English has become increasingly prominent, and learning English has become more and more important, so the young age of English education has become a trend of English education activities in China. Preschool children have strong curiosity, good performance, love to imitate, and high memory, so compared with adults, preschool children have more advantages in language intonation and oral ability. But English learning is a complex process of English knowledge accumulation, skill development and ability development, which is mainly completed by conscious learning. Because preschool children's attention is not easy to last, we need to improve our strategies for learning English and fully mobilize preschool children to carry out unconscious learning to reduce their learning burden. This article takes preschool children from 3 to 6 years old as the research object, and studies to improve strategies that can increase the interest of preschool children in learning English.

1.2 The basic content of this paper

The first chapter of this article introduces some background information. The aging of English as English education has become a trend of English education activities in China.

The second chapter explains the difficulties and problems encountered by preschool children in learning English, and then proposes corresponding improvement strategies according to the problems.

1.3 The main problems to be solved

Through reading literature and related materials, on the basis of studying the physical and mental development of preschool children, we must first solve why preschool children ’s interest in learning English is insufficient, and then explore how teachers can increase the interest of preschool children in learning English.

2 Research steps, methods and measures of the topic selection

2.1 Research steps

2.1.1 Based on a strong interest in learning English for preschool children, I read some bibliographies overall and meticulously and found places of interest in reading-how to improve the use of English teaching in preschool children.

2.1.2 Comprehensively collect research results that can stimulate the interest of preschool children in English learning, and then conduct a detailed analysis, and find out the overlaps and gaps in their own interest points and literature reviews according to the research status, focusing on analyzing why this stage of school age The pre-children ’s interest in learning English is insufficient, and then teachers how to increase the interest of preschoolers in learning English.

2.1.3 Synthesize all the materials, conduct overall thinking, and summarize them. Try to be as structured and clear as possible.

2.2 Research methods and measures

2.2.1 Literature research method

Find and read core journals, classic works, research reports on preschool children's English teaching at home and abroad, collect compilations, and summarize important views and expositions, so as to clearly understand the development status and existing research results at home and abroad, for further Prepare for design research. Specific methods and approaches: one is to find information about educational games through websites such as academic journal network, China's excellent master thesis database, and Wanfang degree thesis database; the second is to retrieve relevant information through search engines such as Google, Baidu, and Yahoo; The third is to borrow relevant materials through library.

2.2.2 Observation method

The author will participate in the actual teaching of kindergarten, integrate into the life and learning environment of preschool children, strengthen communication with preschool children and teachers, and observe some of their behavioral performance and psychological reactions in practice with the help of personal experience, so that Research and analysis provides first-hand information, and also provides a certain basis for subsequent data analysis.

2.2.3 Interview method

The target of this interview is kindergarten English teachers. Before the interview, prepare the outline of the interview in advance, clarify the interview ideas, and record the content of the interview after obtaining the consent of the respondent. Through close-range interviews with front-line English teachers, the results of classroom observations can be better assisted, in order to have a more comprehensive understanding and reflection on the research issues.
