With the development of global integration, English, as the world's first language, plays an extremely important role in the communication among different people and countries. In that way, many non-English speaking countries, especially in China, start the English Teaching from primary school even kindergarten.
After several generations of hard exploration, China's primary school English teaching has achieved remarkable results, the primary school English has been listed as the national curriculum plan for years. English Teaching in primary schools has become a hot, but also a very important part of what the school and the parents think, and the English teachers are also trying new teaching ideas and methods. However, in the pursuit of high quality of English teaching, it is found that there are some specific problems that can not reach the requirements of the new curriculum.
Firstly, Students are lack of enthusiasm with English. Shu Baimei(1999) said in her book that teachers haven’t pay enough attention to stimulate students' interest in learning and motivate students' learning emotion, without considering students' psychological age characteristics and cognitive law. Without good preparation, current teaching materials, necessary deletion, modification and supplement, it is conducive to the sustainable development of students. Blindly to ask students to learn by rote, arranged a large number of mechanical repeated copying homework, sometimes punitive operations, make English become rote discipline.
    Secondly, the lack of language learning atmosphere is also an important part of English teaching. Andy Hargreaves(1998) states that without a very good English language learning environment, students are very difficult to grow up in the study. English learning can only be used as a tool to test the meaning, but also make this subject in the study, become dull and boring, no vitality. The students' ability to learn English listening and speaking is seriously out of line. This phenomenon is reflected in different grades, different schools, different gender and this trend is becoming more and more obvious.
Thirdly, the application of English and communicative ability are poor from students. Liu yong(2009) mentioned in his book that although at the primary stage we just cultivate students' interest of learning English and master some simple basic knowledge of English and communicative competence, but the encouragement type relaxed learning atmosphere and make students prematurely into the errors. Maybe students can recite it fluently, even if it can be combined with the action and the expression, but they can often got scratching when they do a simple self introduction even with the guidance of teachers. Without changes, English teaching only can cultivate poor thinking, natural personality, innovation and conformity, allowing others to command the honest students.
To sum up, we need to create a variety of situations and encourage students to use English boldly and have tolerance attitude to them in the learning process of English. From the students' interest in learning, life experience and cognitive level, advocates experience, practice, participation, cooperation and exchange of study way, developing students' comprehensive language using ability. Sincerely to make friends with students, not only reduce the distance between the students and teachers but also calmly complete the task of teaching, achieving the purpose of killing two birds with one stone.
