（一）Domestic Research Status

Mr. Shi Xianrong translated “The Catcher in the Rye” into Chinese in the 1960s and was published publicly by LiJiang press in 1983.1988, YuJianhua created “A Repeat of Life: The Choice of Life on the Cliff”. Yin Dexiang on “The Catcher in the Rye protagonist Holden ・ Caulfield”, and Wang Hai such as “A Traitor - The Fate of The Victims” have been published. Since 1994, the book has been reviewed in various academic journals and newspapers in China.

Domestic reviews fall into four broad categories.

1.A realistic work that criticizes American society.

Scholars argue that the work criticizes the hypocrisy, depravity and ruthlessness of American society. Such as Li Zhengrong's "Escape And Rebellion", Zhu Jing's "The Watchman In The Wheat Field: The Modern Classic Of Rebellion And Hypocrisy", Zhang Jieming's "Resistance" And "Return": Interpretation Of "The Watchman In The Wheat Field", Zuo Yan's "A Distant Call Of  Silent Protest" and so on.

2.The earliest "Across The Generation" masterpiece.

Mr. Shi Xianrong pointed out that Holden's personality contradictions, his "obvious existentialist characteristics" and Holden's character as "one of the earliest anti-hero images in contemporary American literature".
