I.  Significance of topic selection

For example, western countries emphasize logical thinking ability and values, and attach importance to people's subjective analysis and judgment. However, Chinese culture promotes the " Golden mean" and emphasizes that practice is the sole criterion for testing truth. Western culture advocating nature, adventure and challenge themselves are reflected in the British and American literature, so in the translation of English and American literature works, we must conduct the thorough research to the British and American culture to determine whether culture has influenced literary works or did British and American literature reflects the British and American culture.
