                 Feminism in English Movies Literature Review

Feminism refers to a social theory and political movement mainly based on female experience and motivation. In addition to criticizing social relations, many feminist supporters also focus on the analysis of gender inequality and the promotion of women's rights, interests and issues.When it comes to feminism ,we have to think of many related literature and English Movies ,such as 《Jane Eyre》,《Pride and Prejudice 》and 《Gone With The Wind 》.........

        With the development of The Times, feminism has attracted more and more attention .As an early feminist writer, Jane Austen shows her pursuit of equality between men and woman in the representative work of Thought .Jane Austen created a group of vivid images of women successfully .《Pride and Prejudice 》revealed the end of the 18th century to the beginning of the 19th century British social reality, and through them fully expressed her feminist consciousness and the perfect harmony of love and marriage .This Movie have analyzed  the first definition of feminism theory from the perspective of feminism. It is not only  introduced Jane Austen and her life by that time ,but also embodied the feminism what heroine Elizabeth showed  in the movie emphatically

   “Pride and Prejudice”was adapted for film based on the novel of the same name by Jane Austen and released on 2005 .In the movie the English countryside was closed during that period. It is wrong to express this social class's love view of marriage for the sake of property and status through the handling of life events by several middle class girls. But the heroine Elisabeth, who does not consider property as well as a foolish , was born in the middle of a civilian-class family.But she was Lively, intelligent, and resourceful girl who has a strong opinion of many things and never bow to worldly thoughts. 

    Through English Movie“Pride and Prejudice ”  it revealed  the phenomenon of the British social roles, expressed strong dissatisfaction of male dominance, and conveys the women activists will and desired of the principle of equality between men and women

       The English movie "Jane Eyre" described  the brave pursuit of freedom, equality and independence from the traditional heroine Jane Eyre by analyzing the character of Jane Eyre. It proved that Jane Eyre is a standard feminist. The heroine Jane Eyre have impressed the readers at that time .Then she became a representative figure in the history of British literature, not only in the appearance of simplicity, and performance in the unique charm of her character. Jane Eyre is particularly striking because of the strong resistance consciousness in her character.She adhered to her principles to constantly resist unjust society.She tried her best to pursue freedom, equality, independence and true love.Through persistent efforts she finally gained self-esteem, freedom and true love.

        “Gone With The Wind” is a classic movie based on the novel of the same name by American novelist Margaret Mitchell. It is the most vivid depiction of feminism in film and television literature.This movie expounds the development of feminism and related theory and the main form by  analyzed the heroine Scarlett in Gone With The Wind. This movie have parsed the feminism thoughts on Scarlett and it’s long-term and extensive social influence.

   Today, we are still fighting for women's independence and equality because there are Gender inequality exists . On 2014.9.20, the heroine Emma Watson in Harry Potter   have made a speeches [11]about the feminist and gender equality, at the United Nations as a goodwill ambassador for the women's department ,which received a standing ovation. In his speech, she calls on all people, including men, to pay more attention to gender inequality, understand the real meaning of feminism, men and women, in the face and constraints from the gender is not free, and action to break the status quo. The best way to prevent feminism to be misunderstood is probably only gender parity flat accountability. Feminist let a man has nothing to do with yourself, but it is also a gender, male gender, as long as you have gender equality and gender stereotypes are intimately related to you .Gender equality brings freedom and happiness to men, gives them cherished freedom and happiness, and makes society more dynamic and creative and capable of sustainable development

  Women's rights is men's rights and  it's human rights too . Not the statue of women's rights, nor is it a privilege. Everyone have equal rights and equal right to life, options and body.  Life would not be bound by the gender stereotypes of rights.  Don't let the personal characteristics and ability to the rights of concealed by gender labels. Ultimately strive for women's rights is not to protect and care for, not special treatment, but each individual empowerment (empowerment), is the equality of opportunity, is to eliminate gender binary opposition and gender stereotypes, and eventually played down the importance of gender.What we focus on is no longer a "man" or "woman", but their real ability and quality, knowledge, personality and character;
