TheInfluenceofCrossCuluralCommunicaiononheSecondLanguageLearning_开题报告 Ktbg4591  TheInfluenceofCrossCuluralCommunicaiononheSecondLanguageLearning_开题报告

In an increasingly globalized world, where technology is increasingly making communication faster and more efficient, it becomes even more pressing for citizens to be competent in other languages. More and more people come to seek development in foreign countries. We can see a lot of people with different skin color in the street. They may be tourists or work here. In some big cities, even a waiter in a small shop can speak more than two languages. Second language has become an important role in our daily life.
In our globalized world, it has become even more essential in the job market to know another language. Having fluency in another language gives an edge on any resume by showing employers potential to converse with an entirely different group of people. Traveling to another country for a job not only allows for tremendous opportunities for oneself, but also allows a company to broaden its network. Educators will often have students from many different language backgrounds, scientists will need to converse with others in their field from different countries, and those in the entertainment industry can open up their career aspects tenfold if they can effectively learn a second language. Specifically, in jobs dealing with marketing, sales, or technical support, knowing a second language can add between 10% and 15% to your wage. In China, every student need to learn English as their second language. Learning a second language allows students to explore and better understand another culture. Second language learning is very common. Whether a child or an elderly, more and more people began to learn the second language, and use it in the daily life.
As we know, it is very necessary to learn a second language, but how can we learn to use the second language as our mother tongue does. Many people spend several years to learn the second language, but has not been able to use this language to carry out a simple conversation. In China, a college student who has passed CET-6 often doesn't know how to talk to a foreigner. What they speak is called Chinese-English. Although they have a large vocabulary, they can easily read, but they can not communicate with foreigners face to face. They lack the ability to express their spoken English. Many Chinese students have such a puzzle, why I have been learning English for so many years, but still can’t use it. We use the same way to learn second language as we learn our mother tongue, from the most basic vocabulary, and then the sentence, and finally to the passage, the article. The difference is whether we have a constant practice of spoken English in our daily life.
Learn a second language is not easy. There are lots of differences between different languages. This difference is not only reflected in the spelling, the grammar, the syntax. Sometimes, you just don’t really get the sayings. Every native speaker has a feel for his or her own language, and that’s basically what makes a native speaker-whether you can make the language your own. This feeling about our own language is cultural. In daily communication, the influence of cross cultural communication on the second language learning is very great. I think that’s the reason why we can read a sentence but can’t use it.
Two different worlds-two different mindset.Cross-cultural communication means people from differing cultural backgrounds communicate, in similar and different ways among themselves. Language reflects the culture of a country. That’s why we would be misunderstand or even don’t understand any more. The cross-cultural communication includes religion, architecture, custom, diet, etiquette, folk communication and other aspects. All of these differences will cause obstacles in our communication. In my thesis, I want to discuss the influence of cross cultural communication on the oral English learning of the second language. I hope to find a better way to learn the second language. I hope that through the study of second language learning to change the status, to improve oral English, so that we can get a better use of the second language in our work and life.
