(一)Family education research status in China
The current status of Chinese family education is insufficient. The main reason is the family traditional education has too many deficiencies. If the school education determines child’s education, then the parents determine child’s quality. According to authoritative organization investigation data, the percentage of Chinese qualified psychological diathesis children is only 19%, while the United States is 41%. Through the research literatures in recent years,there are three kinds of views as followed:
1.Chen Heqin said in Family Education that the education mode of Chinese family is mandatory. Parents would like giving children the best teacher, would like to give taking part in all kinds of extracurricular classes and so on. And the ultimate goal is enhance children's exam-oriented education grades. The communication and interaction between parents and children is verysmall in this kind of education. Parents do not pay attention to the child's physical and mental health、 quality education and the cultivation of emotional intelligence. What is worse, there comes out an absurd theory says "sticks out under a scholar". This theory can not only cause great mental and psychological pressure to the child, but also cultivate a pile of so-called "nerd". So the domestic family education should be improved right now. We needfind the shortcomings of Chinese family education, learn good experience abroad, thenachieve the goal of complement each other.
2. Wei Shusheng said in Better Parents, Better Education that family education has a vital role for all aspects of the children development and formation. In most of Chinesefamily, parents want their children to grow up to be somebody, but American parents willing to allow children to do construct practice, the differences led to the two children has obvious gap in adapting to society when they grow up. Chinese parents have the core position of authority and leadership in the education and the children were in a state of mind of "never grow up", Parents show their care for their children through spoiling their childrenin physical、 learning and work. However they ignore improving the independent living ability、 the ability to adapt and the interpersonal ability of their children. We generally think that good grades can solve all problems. Chinese children are better than the western children in grades but in the personal practice, the survival ability and interpersonal aspectsthey are too weak. So a better family education is very important during the children’s growth.
3. Wu Wenzhi said in There Is One Welfare Named Wait that parents love for the children do not wait for the return. In the face of the current Chinese family have onlyone child, we need let the children understand the experience in the process of growth bymore intuitive comparative education. The parents show their love for children and they do not bother too much, so to find the right way of education is very important. Learning the way of foreign family education is important for Chinese parents. Based on the exam-oriented education, our parents can improve their learning ability and education ability through learning foreign excellent family education. Combined family education with school and society and we can track the growth of children, give enough support to our children.
(二)Family education research status abroad
Compared with Chinese domestic family education, the education abroad is relatively rational. Foreign parents take an important part in children education. In America, for example, parental involvement in children's education has formed own typical characteristics, such as parents personally organization activity, pay attention to social practice, foster children emotional intelligence, focus on children socialization process, extend the children knowledge, cultivate self-confidence, courage, encourage risk-taking, etc. Through the research literatures in recent years, there are three kinds of views as followed:
1. Li Ying said in American family education enlightenment  that family is the child's first school, parents are the first teachers of children, the parents cultivation of focus is on the children be adapt to the environment and independent ability to survive. Parents pay too much on cultivate children in China, the child will be replied in unison in the face of the parents to study hard, admitted to the university in the future; But in America the childrenwill not put a college in return for care of their parents. So let the children decide to do your own thing, don't force children to give understanding and support to the idea of a child,trying to establish a democratic equal relationship between person and children, also more conducive to the healthy growth of children.
2.In anji, Middleton Don't worry about children - Karl Witt the American family education, illustrates the" parents are the child grow the root and from the multi-dimensional for the growth of child the most important thing is education rather than talent, and even the ordinary children, as long as the education methodology is good, the children will also be extraordinary. At the mention of creativity, develop children as adults should do is to respect their children, or, more should put the creativity and imagination as the first, to see it is more important than knowledge acquisition. Personality is at the same time for a child's health is very important, to cultivate children since the childhood brave, strong and self-confident mental, as much as possible with the method of understanding, support and encouragement to help them, so dimly and bad behavior also can be avoided. Also should satisfy children's curiosity and thirst for knowledge, children's initiative, independence and creativity through training, improve the child's observation, memory, judgment and creativity, can not only enrich the child's inner world, at the same time also can improve organization ability and the comprehensive quality of the child.
3. Differences between Chinese and western in the system and culture makes the education mode can't completely consistent, but combines excellent western education way, believe that Chinese parents flat on the way of family education more smoothly, also can make the child towards a more successful and more hopeful road of growth.
